Simple product qty have not been updating while importing configurable products.

I've imported some configurable products.In the CSV file i've added simple products quantity to 10 .After importing i'm seeing that all quantity values have been set to 0 which means products become not available(out of stock). I'm in need of updating each products and set the qty to 10.
Why this is happening?
How can i resolve this.
