We are in the process of setting up our first Magento installation - a multi-store-view setup, and find that even if a customer is in Marketing > Newsletter Subscribers as Subscribed (verified by logging into my Account and looking there), when we go into Customer > Edit Customer > Newsletter on the backend, the box 'Subscribed to Newsletter' is NEVER ticked.
If I go into a customer who is not subscribed and I tick the box and save, it does add them to the subscribed list as expected, but if I go back into the same customer, the box is unticked again. If I save that customer without ticking the box, it doesn't unsubscribe them!
This is not the behaviour I'm expecting from this box! Does anybody else have this or am I misunderstanding how this box should behave?
