Successful orders dont appear on the admin panel after online payment

Has anyone found a solution for this? This started happening to me last night and is a very serious issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible, so I would really appreciate any help anyone can provide

same problem Magento 2.4.1 with braintree. it started approx after christmas last year.

It affects PayPal orders, perhaps 3% of all PayPal braintree orders (mostly PayPal, but also credit card).

People tell me: After payment at PayPal, they are redirected to the shop. And: their cart is still filled after the payment.

What is weird:

- In PayPal the article name is empty, only the article number and prices are shown.

Edit: No, this seems to be the standard for this kind of payment

It would be interesting if its due to the braintree plugin, with which we already encountered many problems.

We have a IPN broadcast, so the IPN of PayPal goes to

https://www.website.de/paypal_multiple_ipn.php

In this script it broadcasted to two different endpoints, on of them is:

https://www.website.de/paypal/ipn/

This is implemented since several years without a (known) problem before.

I read a lot of possible causes

- Asynchronous indexing for grid setting

- server problem (load)

- cache problem (we use google page speed optimizer from amasty)

Please post your observations as detailed as possible….

Edit: it seems to be not only PayPal: a very few orders with Klarna show neraly the same behaviour: Customer orders first time, order not in magento, no order confirmation. Hi there.. you must try this!

Access Store > Configuration > Advanced > Developer
And disable the option "Grid Settings" -> Asynchonous Indexing (change to disable)
Cleand the cache and the orders will be there!

thank you for you support. I changed the setting, cleared all caches.

And… in the evening, now, same problem, when the load goes a bit up.

There are so many bugs, thats not clear where it comes from…

BUT: Klarna is also affected with 2.6% of transactions, which kead to another phenomen: orders are there, but order status is empty. I am not sure if this is the same bug like the PayPal bug.
