Hi @Compact Elit,

Delete or rename files named <your Magento install dir>/var/.update_cronjob_status and <your Magento install dir>/var/.setup_cronjob_status and try running the Component Manager again.

Already tried the solution you provided and that in the link too. No Success!
Tried all the solutions available on the web, solved all my issues except this one!
