I am new (6 business days ago) to Magento. When searching for answers to my admin 404 problem, I saw mention of a database which has the URL for the admin page. Which database is it?

Hello Mark,
The database name already you know, as you used during Magento installation. If you forgot that don't worry you can check the following file:
{magento root directory}app/etc/env.php
Information regarding url contains in core_config_data table.
