Using the WYSIWYG removes URL in the description

Hello. We are having a weird issue with the WYSIWYG editor when editing products.

If we select the "Show / Hide Editor" it will change our default code from:
<p><img src="{{media url="wysiwyg/Products/AudioQuest/audioquest.jpg"}}" alt="AudioQuest" /></p>

To this:
<p><img src="{{media url=" alt="AudioQuest - Record Brush" /></p>

It deletes the value in the "media url" and we are left with a broken image link.

Can someone assist us on this issue? It seems odd, but we can replicate it every time we use the editor.

Thanks.

Dale

Hi Dale,

Have you reported this issue on Github? https://github.com/magento/magento2

Re: Using the WYSIWYG removes URL in the description

Hello. We are still awaiting a fix for the WYSIWYG issue.

There is a ticket assigned to it, but we are not seeing any progress:
https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/5811

Can we get some assistance in trying to have this resolved? It is creating a huge problem for us when we attempt to edit the product descriptions.

Thanks for any help.

Any updates?

We would like to see if there is at least a work-around.

Thanks.

Re: Using the WYSIWYG removes URL in the description

Hello. That would be helpful. This bug is really causing issues with our team who updates the products on our site.

Even if there is a work-around we could use until a fix is fully implemented.

Thanks, and I appreciate any help in this matter.
