newsletter subscription not working

Hi,
I have a magento 2.3.5-p2 store and I want to use newsletter subscription in the footer, so I enabled newsletter in customer configuration from magento's backend (with guest subscription and confirmation email) and I added in footer block this code:

{{block class="Magento\Newsletter\Block\Subscribe" name="home.newsletter" template="subscribe_form_footer.phtml"}}

but it doesn't work, no subscription is created and no email is sended!

Someone could help me ?

I found that is theme related issue, I'm working with Ptheme's support team to solve it.
