special price showing when not applied

Hi There

I help run a Magento 2 eCommerce site and have come across a strange issue.

One of my configurable products is showing "was" and "now" prices on the front end when there are no special prices set up for any of the simple products in the back end. Therefore, the 'was' and "now" prices are exactly the same. It just looks sloppy and irrelevant so I'd like to find out how to remove it.

When I've used special prices on other configurable products, the "was" and "now" disappeared once the special price ended so I'm confused why this product has kept it.

Can anyone advise?

Sorry I made a mistake, it says "from" and "was"
