Cannot add any modules Magento 2.3.4

I cannot install any modules. i get the following error message.

[InvalidArgumentException]
Could not find a matching version of package auctane/api. Check the package spelling, your version constraint and that the package is available in a stability which matches your minimum-stability (stable).

Just as a FIY I installed magento 2.3.4 via the CPanel Softaculous ie I believe it installs from Github. Any suggestion please

kindly purchase this extension  from marketplace 

and follow these steps 

• generate access keys 
• install the extension via web setup
• flush cache & configure shipstation account.

Done that already. Generated the keys, but the Websetup does not work either.
