Magento 2.3.3 update, getting "sales_order_grid" already exists error when running setup:upgrade

After running a 2.2.5 to 2.3.3 upgrade on two separate sites,  I am getting the following error when running setup:upgrade

SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table '`db`.`sales_order_grid` already exists.

The table is not in the database, I confirmed that.  I also can't create the table manually in MySQL.

Can you please first check your core_resource table and check is there entry of module-sales module. if not than please add it and re-run the command.
