Magento 2.3CE CMS Bluefoot/Pagebuilder - is it coming? Alternatives?

So at the moment, we are in the early stages of moving from 2.1 to 2.3.

We've really benefitted from using Bluefoot CMS on 2.1 and most of our site content is built using it. It is as far i'm aware not going to be an option on 2.3CE (unless anybody knows different?)

Can anybody suggest a good alternative and a solution that would be easy to migrate to?

I would guess that quite a few early adopters of BlueFoot on M2 are going to be in a similar position?

Magento has no plans to release page builder for magento CE in the near future. This is the answer of Olena Tkacheva (Product Manager of Magento) at Imagine 2019: PageBuilder is commerce exclusive feature. There is no plans to make it available for Community in foreseeable future.

So I offer 2 solutions to your problem:

1. Customize the Bluefoot CMS code in 2.1
You upgrade magento 2.3. Then customize the Bluefoot code to run well on magento 2.3.

2. Use 3rd party extension
You use magento 2.3 page builder extension of this party. It has full magento 2.3 bluefoot / page builder feature. Easy drag and drop and frontend display right in the backend.
