Migration from Magento 1.x to Magento 2.x tutorial

So I need to install magento 2 before start migration? Is there no solution to upgrade directly M1 to M2 like other CMS?

No, You must install magento 2 before migrate data from magento 1. There are not any alternative solutions for other cms like directly upgrade from M 1 to M 2.

To not open another thread I continue to write here, I hope to get help.

I've installed Magento 2.2.x in a sub directory of my website. I went to install it but I got this message:

"Magento supports PHP 7.0.2, 7.0.4, and 7.0.6 or later. "

So... How can I transfer data from M1 to M2, if the first works with php 5.6 and the second only with 7.x?
