The Community Engineering team aims to facilitate frequent two-way communication between Magento and the community. With this in mind, it gives us great pleasure to announce a new initiative, Community Engineering Hangouts.
These hangouts provide a platform for Magento to give the community regular updates and for the community to give feedback to Magento. They will take place on the Community Engineering YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUsdK3NnJ0LqhNJCrJDdiug), and you can subscribe to be updated when we go live. The hangouts will take place once a month and will be approximately 90 minutes in length. Don't worry if you can’t tune in live, they will also be available to watch afterwards on the channel. The hangouts will be split into three sections:
- News and updates from the Community Engineering team
- A presentation on a topic from core Magento team, such as the Magento Functional Test Framework or the Multi Source Inventory project
- Live Q&A session
Our first hangout of 2018 will take place on Friday the 9th of February at 8 PM CET (2 PM EST). We will give you an update on January’s progress in projects such as MSI and the main repository, and we'll give a presentation about the new Magento Functional Testing Framework.
