With a holiday in the US (Thanksgiving), this week’s report/newsletter covers two weeks! We’ve had an eventful end to November with the GA release of 2.3.0, 2.2.7, 2.1.16, and M1 security patches. New features also rolled out with significant Community Engineering development and support including MSI Inventory Management, GraphQL, PWA Studio, and Core issue fixes and additions!

- MSI released with Magento 2.3.0 GA!
- Milestone 3 prepared and in-progress
- Igor Miniailo provided insights on the 2.3.0 GA release and milestones to come. MSI releases as a Magento Developed Extension (MDE) will release on a separate schedule, independent of Magento 2 core.
- Riccardo Tempesta (@RicTempesta)from MageSpecialist discussed and demoed the latest updates for the Distance Based Source Selection Algorithm: Online via Google Maps API and offline calculation of distances between Shipping address and Distribution centers
- Mark Brinton discussed potential improvements and feedback on the SSA, and additional product info.
- Slava Moskalyuk reviewed and discussed continuing regression.
- Tom Erskine shared weekly updates on MFTF and manual testing coverage.
- We determined an issue with performance degradation. See the Black Friday demo for detailed information, and the 2.3 Release Notes.
- Igor Miniailo updated the Salable Quantity Calculation and Mechanism of Reservations with examples and additional information to better understand how MSI manages and calculates reservations and aggregated salable quantity.
