It would be great to have a better import framework available in Magento.
Currently we have only a not easy to use CSV import. It would be cool to invent a framework which can be used for custom imports. Also it should be able to give advanced insights like import duration, memory usage etc.
For non experienced users it brings a mapping tool for simple CSV, XLS files.
