Need Help with UI and Speed Optimization for WordPress Based Packaging Website

Hi Magento Community,

I manage a WordPress based website for a custom packaging business that specializes in creating custom cake boxes and other packaging solutions for bakeries and businesses. While WordPress has been a great platform for flexibility, I’ve run into a couple of challenges:

  1. User Interface (UI): Some customers find the navigation, especially for customization features, a bit confusing this is more noticeable on mobile devices.
  2. Website Speed: Despite using caching plugins, optimizing images, and minifying CSS/JS, product pages still feel sluggish at times, particularly during high traffic periods.

Since I know many of you have experience optimizing e-commerce websites, I wanted to ask:

  • Are there any WordPress plugins or tools that work particularly well for improving speed and responsiveness?
  • Would integrating a Magento-based solution for specific features (like product customization) help in enhancing the overall user experience?

Here’s the website for context: Cake Boxery. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I am also a WordPress designer, and I need help with improving my website's loading speed. My site loads very slowly, so I would appreciate proper guidance and a detailed solution to increase its speed.

For improving speed, consider upgrading to managed WordPress hosting (like WP Engine or Kinsta), using a CDN (e.g., Cloudflare) and optimizing images with plugins like Smush or ShortPixel. Lazy loading images, reducing plugins and enabling Gzip compression can also make a big difference. For the UI, tools like Elementor or Hotjar can help identify and fix navigation issues, especially for mobile users. If product customization is critical, integrating Magento for those features could enhance your user experience. For detailed speed analysis, tools like GTmetrix or PageSpeed Insights are great to pinpoint specific issues. Hope this helps! 😊
