We announced our documentation migration plans for 2022 in last month's newsletter. This month we are pleased to announce a new home for our Services documentation. A new page on the Adobe Experience League is designed to provide easy access to documentation for our SaaS capabilities that help merchants support key components of their business. This collection of guides provides detailed information for installation, configuration, usage, and maintenance of our current SaaS capabilities (Product Recommendations, Live Search, Payment Service, and Amazon Sales Channel), and it will include additional services as they become available. On the Experience League, it will include support for localized versions of the documentation:
We will continue to support external contributions for the documentation on the Experience League, and there are currently two public GitHub repositories available to submit PRs to the Services documentation source (English) and to open issues: https://github.com/AdobeDocs/commerce-merchant-services.en and https://github.com/AdobeDocs/commerce-channels.en
Content to support Services APIs and front-end customizations remain on the devdocs site, with a future location on the adobe.developer site.
Summit 2022 was another marquee event! Over three days (March 15-17, 2022) the event included more than two hundred sessions and training workshops across four global regions, countless attendee small-group conversations, and an all-star keynote emphasizing the power of customer connections in the digital economy. The Sneaks session also gave a behind-the-scenes look at the exciting innovations emerging from Adobe Labs. The theme for this year was “Make the digital economy personal”.
Over the last few years, we’ve seen a huge transformation in how consumers interact with companies and brands. The way we all interact with companies and brands through digital channels is what we refer to as the Digital Economy – and that digital economy is now over $1 trillion and growing. This growing digital economy becomes personal when customer experiences are tailored to meet the expectations of each individual customer, and it must be timely, relevant, and actionable. The ability to execute this level of personalization at scale is critical.
During Summit, Adobe released new U.S. e-commerce data looking at how two years of COVID-19 reshaped the digital economy and its impact on the future and unveiled new innovations in Adobe Commerce that empower brands to make the digital economy personal, with powerful digital experiences that can be personalized to millions in milliseconds. Most sessions are available on-demand now. See a list of all the commerce-related Summit sessions here.
