Status of security problem reported by sucuri

Hello everyone

I wanted to ask if someone could tell me the actual status of this problem:

A german online magazine (golem.de) made an article about it and our managers decided to take our store offline, till it is solved, because they feared theft of credit card information.

Now I am searching for more information, but it seems outside of golem.de and the linked article, there is no reaction to it.

Is this a hoax or is Magento still searching for the source? Is it secure to bring the shop online again with the latest patches?
