PayPal gateway has rejected request. Currency is not supported (code number10605)

In Magento 2.1 I'm getting:

PayPal gateway has rejected request Paypal is not supported (#10605: Transaction refused because of an invalid argument....

I can't change the base currency, which is AED (which is not supported by PayPal) because this will generate errors in other extensions.

What to do? how can I send PayPal the price in "Display Currency" not the base currency?

I am also facing the same issue for magento 2.1.8,but in magento 1.9 its fine for AED
