Magento 2 certification exams

Hi,

Willing to get certified. Is it worth waiting for Magento 2 certification to come or I should go for m1 developer certification?

Also I see free courses time line has been shifted to 31 march,17.Looks like Magento U is holding off this bit more?Any suggestions?

Hi @nitishcs6,

You should think about the certifications as a way of proving your knowledge in the platform.

If you have been working with Magento 1 for a long time and you feel confident about your knowledge, then you should definitely get the certification.

There is no announcement regarding the Magento 2 certification yet.

Hello Gabriel,

has there been an update on this Issue.

Does Magento still have no plans for Certificate Examination for Magento 2.

Magento 2 has a total new approach so an End Customer is been fooled when some come up with a Magento 1 Certificate.

I feel that its a quite careless way of seeing things.

Hi @osioaliu, there are now three exams for Magento 2:

• Solution Specialist
• Associate Developer
• Professional Developer

Still to come are Front-End Developer and Professional Developer Plus.
