Error on Grunt: Unable to process task

Hello!

I am a frontend developer working at Magento 2.4.6.

I have some modules at app/code that have some js files created (jquery widgets, functions or just objects with methods).

I am trying to create tests for them, so first I created a simple module to configure Grunt, Jasmine and try some basic testing.

I have an error on Grunt that says:

Verifying property exec.mymodule exists in config...ERROR

>>Unable to process task.

My current steps are:

1) I created dev/tools/grunt/configs/mymodule.js

2)

module.exports = {
    mymodule: {
        area: 'frontend',
        name: 'Custom_FrontendTesting',
        locale: 'en_US',
        files: [
            'js/mymodule'
        ],
        dsl: 'less'
    }
};

3) At the module: Custom/FrontendTesting, I created a folder named: Test, and a file: mymodule.spec.js

4) File to test is at web/js/mymodule.js (added to requirejs-config.js).

5) I deployed static content, clear magento cache, and when running grunt exec:mymodule I see the error previous mentioned. Any thoughts or a guide to follow on this? I read Magento's docs but the steps I found are to test themes

Re: Error on Grunt: Unable to process task

I could solve the problem.

It looks like the pupeteer was not well installed, so I run:

npm i pupeteer

After that, the task was running.

Thanks!

Grunt Configuration: Double-check your Grunt configuration (Gruntfile.js) to ensure that you have properly defined the exec task for your module. It should look something like this:

module.exports = function (grunt) {
    grunt.initConfig({
        exec: {
            mymodule: {
                cmd: 'your_test_command_here'
            }
        }
    });
    grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-exec');
};
