Self Introduction

Hello Magento Community,

I'm Rezza, from Malaysia but now living in Tokyo, Japan.

I am currently working as a system engineer/consultant.

My company would like to launch an EC business as the EC industry currently is booming and the demand is also accelerating especially during the current epidemic situation.

After googling and some researching, I got to know about Magento and have  touch a little on Magento2(installed the free ones and played with it).

I would like to ask few things related to making business with Magento as shown below but not sure where should I inquire to.

Eg:

1)If we install Magento in our own server in Japan(and handle it on our own), and added with my company product/services together and sell it as new product, would this be possible?

Server+Magento+Company Original as a set like SaaS(software as a service)

2)We create our own extension and we would like to sell it directly to the customer and not through Magento Marketplace, would this be possible?

Apologies in advance if I ask in the wrong place or made a wrong statement. 

Any advice would be appreciate.

Note : Most of my team members are japanese and they do not understand English that well so I act as a representative instead.

Regarding your questions follow the below response it will give you more clarity.

• If you are adding your products and services and then selling those products to Japan that will be possible without any issue as it is the e-commerce platform and mainly used for selling the items. But if you are planning to share Magento as SaaS-based then I am sure it won't allow you. and Magento itself providing the SaaS/PaaS-based services call Magento commerce cloud, Refer this link - https://devdocs.magento.com/cloud/bk-cloud.html 
• Yes that is possible you can sell the extension on your site/store without having any issue - but as a good quality product I would suggest you to upload in on the Magento marketplace as well - that will add additional benefits for your products.
