Tag Manager addToCart dataLayer Event sent twice for each click

Hello guys
I have an issue with GTM events, the add to cart event always fires twice in a row, 
the same thing happens on all cart and checkout events.

I am using Adobe Commerce ver. 2.4.5-p1 with the one step checkout and the integrated GTM integration (no third-party extension).

did anyone else have this issue?

Verify that you haven't accidentally created duplicate triggers for the same event. In GTM, go to "Triggers" and review your trigger configurations.

thank you very much for your answer, but the event is sent twice to the datalayer,
I didn't even set any triggers yet.

I've tried all sorts of different approaches and the best performing one is a free extension by Yireo - https://github.com/yireo/Yireo_GoogleTagManager2/

Just follow the installation and setup guide on Github and everything will work perfectly.
