Is it possible to set a temporary price of a product to be rendered in email ?

Hi, 

I would like to ask if it is possible to override the current price of the product on the email that is being sent to the user ? 

I tried using 

$productParent->setPrice($product->getPrice());

but it doesn't seem to work
