Brand/Model attributes

Hi all,

I am very new to Magento and just installed a template for car parts. As you can imagine it has attributes implemented Model/Make/Year. Search works fine - when I select i.e Mercedes it will only allow me to select Mercedes cars. But I can't manage attributes and it's childs.

I am looking for a plugin that allows to edit and create attributes and attributes that belong to attribute. JSON parser would be enough. smth like:

    {

        value: 'BMW'

        subvalues: [....]

    }, {

        value: 'BMW'

        subvalues: [....]

    },

....

]

Any suggestions?

I am actually trying to figure out the same kinda deal. I am looking to build an e-commerce site here on Magento but im unaware if the site I am trying to replicate had a freelancer develop their functions for their Garage feature in the backend with their Year, Make, Model selector on the front-end.
