Customer to upload image file

We sell digitally printed roller blinds, our customer can send us a .jpg - .jpeg - .png - .bmp - .gif - PDF and we will print the image onto the blind.  Is there a way a customer can add a file as part of the product or checkout process.  I don't want them to impose the image onto the fabric (as we need to check the quality of the image first)  i just want them to be able to attach the file at a product or checkout level?

You can add a file option to your products which allows them to upload to thier orders. on a per product level this is out the box in M2

But where are these stored so they can be removed later as the server fills up?
