Product Page Comment Box - for customers

Hello!

I have been looking for a simple extension for Magento which will allow customers to type into a description/comment box for 'personalised' items on our store. for example if you wanted your name on a t-shirt, you would type [ Ben ] in the text box which will also show on the invoice so we can create the t-shirt with the words 'Ben' on it.

Couple of things to note; i want customers to put their custom description on the product before the item is added to the basket, this also needs to be a required option, so customers will have to add there personalised description before the checkout stage.

For this, you need to create a custom extension which provides this functionality to add new field to product view page and maintain it into cart and order page.

Perhaps our Custom Product Preview Extension could suit your needs.

Basically, it allows customers to apply text, images or clipart to any base image you provide (the image of a mug, cake, etc.)

You can force them to check a box to acknowledge they accept your Image Requirements or any other conditions you wish to specify. 

If you wish, you can go straight to the product demo, choose any product and customize it in our demo store. Please note that you can turn off any tabs you don't need, that is, if you need only text, you can switch off graphics or clipart input in the extension.

Hi Liam!

You can check out the Dynamic Product Options extension for Magento that provides "Input Box" or "Textarea". Thus you can add your comment box to the product page or custom description making these fields required.
