Extention installation in magento 1.9

hi,

I have some questions about installing an IDW extention:

i want to install the "labels" extention.

the thing is that i dont have the accses details to the srever that my web site sits on. does that meen that i cant install the extention on my own?

i am not working on the computer thats the magento was "install" on. im just logging in to the administor pannel.

if i can install the extention:

i have downloaded the extention package to my computer. it is compressd on a "tgz" file. shuld i unzip it? 

after i go to the "magento connect" what file shuld i upload? the TGZ file?

Yes you can simply upload the zip file in magento connect by login into the section. Go to system > Magento Connect > Magento Connect Manager > login with admin details > Upload the package and click on install.

You can install the extension using any FTP program like FileZilla if you have access.
