Email Issues with Magento 1.9.2.2

Im using Magento 1.9.2.2 version and using Minimalism - Responsive Magento theme, As per the documentation minimal theme i have set up all configuration and pages, For mail configuration im using SMTP with gmail account. But im not getting mail from front end.

Do you have cron configured and working? Transactional emails in that version of Magento will require cron set up to process the email queue.
