Error with Paypal standard

I configured paypal standard, got the credentionals from paypal and eveyrthing appears to be setup correctly.....

However, when I click on checkout with paypal I get redirected to a /paypal/express/start/button/1/ path that I have no idea what its trying to do.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Send me the error you are getting and in Magento 1.9.1 Paypal Standard has been replaed by Paypal Express so it will redirect to Paypal Express.

I did, its redirecting me to a page that does not exist.

This page can’t be displayed

• Make sure the web address https://www.domain.com is correct
• Look for the page with your search engine.
• Refresh the page in a few minutes.

the web address is correct.....but since you say its redirecting to "express" do I need to install something else now?

Ok, Which Magento version you are using? And are you sure the custom theme you are using is the compatible with your Magento? Because it may be the cause of the issue.

I'm not using a "custom" theme, I'm using the built in RWD theme.  

As for the version, 1.9

I understand that, but its still not working.  Its giving me an error that it can't find anything.
