Change sequence of associated produts

Hello,

I have to add some associated products to a configurable product and the sequence should be changed.
How can I do that? Adding is no problem, but changing the sequence...

If you mean variations in drop-downs of configurable product, in this case their sort order is set in Attributes -> Manage attributes section.

For example, I sell sneakers and they have different sizes. Now size 7 is displayed first in drop-down -

 I want size 9 to be visible first, so I go to Attributes -> Manage attributes, find there my configurable attribute, edit it

and in tab Manage label-options set position for size 9 to be visible first in the list.

That is what I mean and I changed the sort order in the Attribute, but it isn't working on the frontend. The sort order remains to the old sort order with the added attributes at the end.

Like here: LED Lichtslang - Warm wit - 2,5W/m - IP44 - Ø13mm

I refreshed the index and cache...

What goes wrong?
