Customer Group Authentication

How do you suspend a certain customer group from making purchases until they have been approved in the admin? I have seen this on other Magento sites. Thank you.

Thank you. Is there a way to install it through the Connection Manager?

UPDATE: I ended up installing the extension through FTP but I do not see the option for which customer groups require authentication in the admin? There should be emails sent to the user telling them their account is on hold until being approved. All I see is what to hide.
