Order status goes from pending to closed

Hi,

When a pending order is shipped the order status goes right to closed vs. complete.  I have a module for RMA that's looking for the order to be in a complete status, not closed.

Is this the normal behavior?  How would i address?

 I think the best way you need to create a support ticket to aHeadworks support.

turns out this was from an internal-credit module.  the developer provided great support and fixed it.
