sitemap xml generation adds _1.xml to file like siteindex

HI there,

I currently have a problem with a sitemap generator.

I wanted the filename to be sitemap.xml but makes a sitemapindex with a 1 file forward. I put in hig values to "Max Items Per File" (500000000) and Max File Size (kB) (500000000) to make sure an index is not necessary... unfortunately it still adds _1.xml. 

the end result is that sitemap_1.xml is 650kb large with 4000 pages/products etc etc.

as you can see i think its unlogical that it creates an sitemap index instead of just an sitemap.xml.

Any body else has this problem?

Apparently you should leave the fields "Max Items Per File"  and "Max File Size" empty.

Even tough the values are not reached it will make a siteindex.
