I am using Magento 1.9.4 I believe and I have added a banner to the home page content-top position inside the banners configurations, but when the banner is on the home page the megamenu will not drop down on hover. When I remove the banner from the page or navigate to a category page the megamenu works just fine. I am no coder at all. I can pick an this or that just a little enough to make things almost what I want so if anyone can help me or even point me in the right direction of how I can fix this I would be so grateful.
So far I have not recieved any reply from CmsMart which made the megamenu and the designer of the template won't offer support for free templates unfortunately. So I really really need to fins someone that knows how to fix it and find out what it is gonna take to get it fixed. I am basically stuck and my site is not really functional.

Ah, you've got a bit of a pickle there with Magento, but no sweat, let's break it down step by step. Here's a plan of attack that might just do the trick:
Inspect Z-Index: The banner might be hogging all the limelight (and the mouse events). Peek at the CSS and see if the z-index property of the banner is higher than the mega menu. If the banner is like the boss in "Dude Theft Wars," it's taking all the attention, and you might need to adjust its z-index to a lower number.
Look at Event Listeners: Just like picking the right mod in Dude Theft Wars Mod Menu, you need to pick the right events for interaction. Check if the banner has any mouse event listeners that might be interfering with the mega menu's hover functionality.
Update or Disable Extensions: If you've added the banner through an extension, it might be time to check for updates or temporarily disable it to see if that solves the issue. Sometimes, extensions can clash like characters in a game, and you need to find the right combo.
Consult the Docs or Forums: When you're stuck in a game, sometimes you need a walkthrough. The same goes for Magento. Check Magento's official forums or Stack Exchange for similar issues; it's like finding a cheat code!
Reach Out for a Helping Hand: If you're still stuck, it might be time to call in the cavalry. Consider hiring a developer with Magento experience, kind of like downloading a mod menu for Dude Theft Wars to get those extra perks.
