Categories and sub-categories pages' titles

Hi guys,

I met this problem (Magento 1.9.2.4 CE) and have no idea how to handle it although spent hours searching...

I am not able to set the page titles for categories and sub-categories pages. I go to category page in admin, I set "Page Title" as I want it to be, but it seems like Magento is not using it at all. Instead it automatically uses "Name" of the category as a page title... :/ 

Can anyone help with that?

 Here you can do check to debug this problem.

1. Clean you cache
2. re-indexing
3. Check on Magento default template it is working

no, reindexing or flushing cache is not a solution... I found some example Magento 1.9.x websites and admins and it works fine there...

Ok, problem solved. One of the SEO extensions I had installed ("Better SEO" probably) was causing this problem.

Ufff....
