extend the search engine with more options

Hello,

I use the magento version: 1.9.4.3. Knows somebody, how we can extend or modify the standard template of search engine in Magento? (searchsuite-mainsettings-default search) We need two fields that we can fill with default search text (placeholder) to query custom attribute fields in the database.

Hi @sven_news,

The short answer is "yes". You can customize mostly as you want.

You said you need to query custom attributes. Why you don't configure those attributes to be able to be used on search queries?
