404 Error when generating Google Sitemap

Hello. Looking for help with this issue; trying to generate a Google Sitemap throws up a 404 error. Our web hosting provider has tried to help, saying the following error message is printed:

Have you recently changed or deleted a store?

It seems Magento can't find the default store.

Hello. The problem was caused by an extension, and we've already informed the extension developer. Thanks anyway.

Hello. In our case it was caused as we had updated Amasty Improved Layered Navigation.
