Not able to access the Manage Products page on the back end

We have 2 people that have access to the back end of our site, one of which is me. I am the only one with FTP and Control Panel access.

The other person was going to add some new product yesterday and was met with this error.

I tried disabling the Product Grid extension but that just leads to the Manage Product page showing white where the error was and still not loading product.

I can't think of anything that should have changed unless our server host did an auto-update but I always get emails before that happens in case I don't want the update to happen.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong or what I should be doing next to find the issue.

Error seems something in Product grid extension

Do you have disabled it from xml file in app/etc/modules/

Open extension xml file and replace 0 instead of 1. 

Check then. 

Disabling extension from backend configuration, may not stop affecting the website.
