Not able to create new root category- Need Help

Deal All, 
While creating a new root category it returns a error " Default Product Listing Sort by does not exist in Available Product Listing Sort By."

Need Help / Solution

As the message indicates, your default sort by value is not in the list of your available sort by list. You could have removed a attribute which was used as default sort by.

Simply change the default sort by value in

system -> catalog -> frontend ->Default Product Listing Sort By

or

new root category -> display settings -> Default Product Listing Sort By

to a valid sort attribute.
