Onepage checkout issue

Hello,

First of all I would like to thank the great people at Magento to create this forum and to those 'rockstars' who invest their time to help other peole.

 

Today, I installed the CE edition on my localhost, installed sample data, and configured some options. While doing a happy scenario to check how the order and payment system works, I am stuck.

 

After searching for a while and adding breakpoints I find out that the 'Prototype.js' file is the culprit. I am receiving error on Line 1530 of prototype.js file with error message: net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

 

No extension or theme is installed.

 

I am also unable to access the cart page directly. It gives me 'Page not found' message.

 

Any help is highly apprecited.

Installed Magento on Localhost by following this tut: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/m1x/install/installing_install.html

 

Technical Details:

Wamp 2.5

PHP 5.5.12

MySQL 5.6.17

Magento CE 1.9.2.1

 

 

Follow these steps:

1. Create a new user.

2.  Add a new product to cart.

3. Click on Checkout.

4. Enter shipping address and click continue.

 

The page should follow the request and move to shippping method option but it's stucks at the shipping address option.

The page also breaks if I click 'Estimate' after adding the product to cart or if I directly access /checkout/onepage/

Hi,

I have experienced this issue when working locally in the checkout and believe its because the checkout heavily uses a lot of Ajax requests.

 

Can you check your server logs and mysql logs to see if the connection resets trigger any errors in there?

/magento/checkout/cart/ link is not accessible if I click 'Estimate' and after that I can't access any page.

Had to clear cache/cookies everytime to access any page of Magento again. Strange thing is I can access back-end without any issue.

 

There's no error on Firefox but on Chrome there's 'connection reset' error.

I can access 'checkout' page if there's no product in cart.

Hi,

The following does not look normal...

I've had a google around and there are varying solutions to resolving that error... perhaps have a look into that and give some of them suggestions a try?
