Random javascript file is making site slow, don't know what it is ?

Hello experts ,

I have my magento site www.continuetrade.com which was loading fine before 1 week. Now, it is not loading and response time is 108sec . I have tried all the things to make it fast like compilation, minimizing all kind of files. After doing all the works I got know that some external .js file is taking time to load. Which may be spam or virus which is start to appear from 1 week. After inspecting it in console i got this message in console:

www.continuetrade.com/:130 A Parser-blocking, cross-origin script, http://googieplay.info/magento_googieplay.js, is invoked via document.write. This may be blocked by the browser if the device has poor network connectivity.(anonymous function) @ (index):130
http://googieplay.info/magento_googieplay.js Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

I tried to find this calling function but not able to get.

Do, somebody can help me on this please.

Thanks in Advance,

Sham

I think someone hacked into your server and/or database

This isn't the same link, but it is close: http://www.deccanchronicle.com/technology/mobiles-and-tabs/040616/whatsapp-scam-google-free-internet...

I would go ahead and search for "googieplay.info" in your code first. I am hoping you have version control because it will go faster. If you can't find it in your code, you will need to search for it in your database. Most likely it will be somewhere in the "core_config_data" table.

Well I am glad you found it, however you really need to do a security audit on your site.

  • Check Admin Users. Change Passwords
  • Check FTP Users. Change Passwords
  • Check mysql Users. Change Passwords

They will attempt to come back again.

Re: Random javascript file is making site slow, don't know what it is ?

I have deleted that script and load time is good. But now I am having another issue after removing code. Now, in categories listing and product listing page product is not appearing.

you can check this on http://www.continuetrade.com/automation-robotics.html

and console is throwing following message:

automation-robotics.html:58 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token else

is this from that script or something else, can you guide me please.

Thank you

Re: Random javascript file is making site slow, don't know what it is ?

Guys,

You need to be able to search your code. That is step 1. This can be easily done if you are on version control. If you are not on version control, you need to be. They can put this code in several different files.

The most common place this can be found in the database is the Misc Scripts section in System -> Configuration -> Design. Make sure to check all store levels.
