Unable to write to the configuration file.

Hey guys, after restoring a "backup" which was basically a copy, i now get this error : "Unable to write to the configuration file." when trying to connect to Magento Connect Manager 

Im using 1.9.3.7 trying to upgrade to 1.9.3.8 

Any help would be great!

Check if the permissions are set properly.
