I created a new static block and it is enabled. It's really basic,4 images that link to sub cats.
In the category configuration, I have selected the new block in the display settings>CMS Block drop down window. Category is saved. But I do not see the block.
I have cleared cache in cli: rm -r var/cache
And I have opened the category in a new incognito tab.
I have other categories with static blocks that are working. For the sake of testing, I have tried to select a block that is working just fine on another category and it still does not show up for me.
If I edit one of the other categories that is currently displaying a static block, and choose this new christmas block instead and save the category. I can go to that category and it shows the block just fine.
I'm on 1.9.3.10
What do I do?
[edit] solved, the display mode was set to products only.
I couldn't figure out how to delete the topic, so just editing with the solution.
