Rebranding Away from M1 to MLite

I think it's a tough sell to get M2 to existing M1 clients.

 

My proposal would to rebrand M1 to MLite. That's basically what it is, a Lite version of M2 these days, which needs less resources to run than a M2 installation.

 

Otherwise I suspect there will be a large bubble pop and that will be it.

They are not going to do that, because there is already magento-lts, that is the 1.9 continued with security updates.

As we can see now nobody cared since 2017 so I wouldn't expect them to start caring now.
