Adding custom canonicals.

Hi,

We have a requirement to add custom canonicals to our Magento 2 site. In WordPress each page has a custom canonical area which is great when working on duplicate content.

I have the Magento canonicals set up correctly but they are automatically generated which means I will have duplicate content issues.

Is there any way around this?

Hey, apologies for lack of response.

Here are a few of blog posts around native M2 functionality for SEO and canonical urls:

Native Magento 2 functionality doesn't meet your exact requirements however Mageworkx have built a module for it which you can get on the Marketplace - https://marketplace.magento.com/mageworx-module-seosuiteultimate.html

*Disclaimer, I've never tried or tested this module.

Hope that helps!

Re: Adding custom canonicals.

Don't mean to be annoying but I am assuming that the silence on this one shows that there is no way of doing this. We will go live with duplicate content in place.
