Adobe Payment Solution vs. Braintree for Magento 2.4.7
Just upgraded to Magento 2.4.7 and noticed a new payment feature "Adobe Payment Solution"
This was not a feature in my previous 2.3.5 version and not familiar with this. I am currently setup with accepting cc payments through Braintree. Can someone explain the diffrenece between the two and which one is better to use? Features, rates, any fees or monthly charges, etc. With Braintree there are no charges just a flat percentage rate.
A couple of months ago as we were in the process of completing the upgrade someone claiming to be from Adobe Payment Services contacted me trying to get me to sign up for this service and told me that this service is actually a part of Braintree and thats who does the processing. And also this is the new updated Braintree Payment method for Magento and I need to set this one up instead of the braintree method from the backend. This actually kind of sounded a little strange to me. I told them I would think about it and get back to them. The next day I received an email for me to sign and complete the process and that I would be setup to accept payments.
I also have Paypal Express setup currently and I see that Adobe Payment Solutions has a section to config Paypal as well. Does this mean I would need to disable Paypal Express and use the one from Adobe Payments?
Thanks for any advice someone can give me as I want to use which payment method is best for accepting payments.

Re: Adobe Payment Solution vs. Braintree for Magento 2.4.7
Hi there,
My name is Harrison and I am the Payment Services Manager and happy to answer any questions. Each service has its advantages and I'll try to help you sort this out below.
Payment Services uses something called PayPal Complete Payments which uses the latest available for PayPal Checkout + optional Apple/Google Pay and Hosted Card (credit card) payments out of the box. Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce merchants may use this and gain access to Adobe technical support for help with the integration. This is the only service that offers direct assistance for Magento Open Source users from Adobe. If you decide to use the Payment Services PayPal Checkout, you do not need to use the legacy PayPal Express Checkout service.
Braintree on the other hand is a much more DIY process for setup though offers many of the same features/functions that Payment Services offers. Support from Adobe for Braintree is only available for Adobe Commerce users.
Depending on your needs, one may be a better fit than the other. If you'd like to discuss more, feel free to email me at hloveall@adobe.com and I'd be happy to chat.
Thank you for your interest,
Harrison

Re: Adobe Payment Solution vs. Braintree for Magento 2.4.7
Thanks for bringing this up! Choosing between Adobe Payment Solution and Braintree in Magento 2.4.7 depends on your store’s needs. Adobe's solution works seamlessly within the Magento ecosystem and is great for merchants who want native integration with minimal configuration. On the other hand, Braintree offers more flexibility for businesses that deal with subscriptions or need support for multiple payment methods globally.
I’ve been analyzing different setups and noticed how some restaurant and food service sites, like americasbwings.com, streamline their online payment experience for maximum efficiency. It’s a good idea to review similar live examples to see which solution matches your goals best.
