Can I set up up Variable Products with different URLs?

Hi,

If I set up a product with several variables, can I set different URLs for each variable?

Example: I sell a T-Shirt in Small and Medium. I want to run a promotion on just the Medium. Can I generate a link which opens the product with the Medium already selected?

this is not a native feature of Magento and even I struggled to do it for one of my clients. I think in my opinion, one option is to set that associated product do display both in catalog and search. Alternatively, you could set it do display in Catalog only so the users are able to land directly on that particular page with the given URL.
