Extensions

Just a very quick question in regards to extensions. We are looking to start up and develop a website for a new business venture. To start with it will be an information website leading onto a full ecommerce store. We would like ot install various extensions to link to our accounts package, inventory, CRM to name a few however we are unsure to costs. Are the extensions a one-off payment or recurring monthly subscriptions.

As per my knowledge most of the extension related to community edition of M1 are of one time purchase.

And if you are on enterprises, extensions might ask you for annual fee

The extension licence cost varies with the vendor and in particular on your requirements. Let's say if you are looking to integrate your Magento with a thirdparty solution, they may charge you a recurring fee to offer their services. 

I know there are quite a few vendors who integrate your Magento catalogue with other market places such as Amazon and eBay, and they charge a recurring fee every month. 

However, most of the modules can be bought with a single payment and but you may have to pay to download the updates.
