How to make sure magento 2 does partial charges for partially shipped orders?

Do you guys have any idea on how to make sure Magento 2 does partial charges for partially shipped orders?

• Our website is crafted using Magento 2, verion 2.4.5-p6s
• Authorize.net & PayPal are our payment processors
• Shipstation is our shipping platform

Any insights will be greatly appreciated!

It used to work before, our customers are only being charged for partially shipped products. But now, it is charging the full amount though they did not received the whole products. Not sure what happened

My best guess is that your orders are set to authorise only and then you have an online capture event tied to the invoice.

The invoice is the thing that triggers the capture event, not the shipment. Make sure you create partial invoices.
